Halloween 2013

Both kids loved Halloween this year.  We had fun carving pumpkins and going to a work and school Halloween event before Halloween.  Brady loved trick or treating this year and Ellie thought it was lots of fun to dump out the candy bowl.   Brady got lots of compliments on his vintage (early 1990s) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume.   Thanks Aunt Pam for letting us borrow the costume.

Pumpkin Patch Take 2

More pumpkin patch fun.  This pumpkin patch is fairly close to our house, but doesn't have as much stuff as the other patch we went to this year.  The kids both had fun!

Brady is 5

Out little boy is growing up.  5 seems so much older than 4.  Brady is 100% boy.  He loves sports (particularly soccer), climbing and jumping, getting dirty, super heroes, building things and just about anything that involves action. Brady is also very inquisitive.  He asks lots of questions and likes to understand how and why.  He loves science, animal books and computer time.  Some of my favorite moments are when Brady asks for warm cuddles before bed and kisses.  I'm hoping I have at least a few more years before he decides he's too big for cuddles.  We love you so much Brady and are having so much fun watching you grow up!

KC Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite parts of fall is going to a good pumpkin patch.   Both kids had a blast at the KC Pumpkin patch.  Brady LOVED the pumpkin cannon, pumpkin gun and paintball shooting.  I wish he wasn't so fascinated by shooting things, but I have come to terms with the fact that he's all boy and that I'm better off going with the flow.  Ellie went down a huge slide by herself.  I didn't capture it on a photo because I was worried about catching her at the end of the slide. She loved the slide and asked for more after every ride.  She wanted to go on the big hay sack slide, but had to say no to that one.

Ellie said another new word today.  MINE.  Not sure I like the new part of her vocal, but it was pretty cute watching her grab various things and say mine.  Brady wasn't too pleased that she decided one of his balls was hers.
